Snoqualmie Pass, Wash. May 22, 2008 - Alpental will re-open Memorial Day weekend, following several extensions of spring skiing due to above-average snowpack, favorable spring conditions and unexpectedly large skier visits. Monday, May 26th will mark the final day of operations, capping off an extraordinary season and one of the longest in Alpental’s 40-year history.

“Thanks to an incredible spring ski season, this is one of the latest closings in Alpental history,” said Holly Lippert, communications manager. “As the only ski resort in the state still operating, we are ecstatic that we have been able to provide such a long and successful winter experience for Washington skiers and snowboarders.”
