Snoqualmie Pass, Wash. March 19, 2009 - The Summit will be honored this Saturday, March 21st, with a Freedom Team Salute by the United States Army.

“The Freedom Team Salute Program was created as a way to say ‘thank you’ to those who support sacrifices of America’s Soldiers and, in many ways, make their service possible,” said Colonel David Griffin, Director of the Freedom Team Salute Program.

The Summit is being recognized in large part because of their bi-annual Military Appreciation Day celebrations and ongoing discounts for active military personnel. This weekend, March 20th-22nd, The Summit will host their second military event of the season, with discounts of up to 50% off lift tickets, lessons and rentals to all qualifying military personnel. Additional activities, such as live music and giveaways, are also planned.

The mission of Freedom Team Salute is to strengthen the Army community by honoring the people who support America’s Soldiers and Veterans for their service and dedication to the U.S. Army.
