We do not offer make-ups, refunds, or credits for a participant that is absent. Absence means forfeiting that program day and may mean moving to a different group. We do not give credits and/or refunds for participants missing all or part of a MWL program. If a student does not participate in a scheduled make-up session, there will be no additional make-up days provided.

If Interstate 90 and The Summit at Snoqualmie are open, your lesson will go on.
We do not give credits and/or refunds for programs, or portions of programs, that we are unable to deliver due to weather. This is a mountain environment with varying weather and road conditions. We are still open when traction tires, chains, and/or all-wheel drive is required. Please plan accordingly by downloading the WSDOT's mobile app, checking their website, or checking our website which has links for roads, weather, and cameras.
You are making an investment in your snow sports education and training; the weather is an important factor in this investment. Weather can be unpredictable and uncontrollable. We will make every attempt to maximize our ability to provide you with the snow sports education that you expect; however, The Summit SnowSports School cannot be held liable for acts of nature beyond our control.
We do not give partial credits and/or refunds for missed days and/or times in the event the ski area is closed due to road closures, power outages, or acts of nature causing part or entire lift and slope closures.
-
In cases of severe weather, we may need to postpone part of, or a whole program. When this happens we will make every attempt to offer a make-up session at some point during the program, or following the last scheduled day of the program. Please plan your schedules accordingly.
In the event of a prolonged postponement, we will communicate with you via the email address in your profile. If a student does not participate in a scheduled make-up session, there will be no additional make-up days provided.
In the event the ski area is closed due to natural disasters, terrorism, war, disease outbreaks, extended road closures, power outages, or severe weather causing part or entire lift and slope closures, the Summit SnowSports School will make up for the lost time at our discretion, including, but not limited to adding more time during the remaining sessions, adding additional sessions, adding a make-up day, or forfeiting the session entirely.
In the event we need to postpone we treat the entire program as a whole unit. We do not customize make up plans for every individual.

- It's your responsibility to arrive on time and prepared. Groups leave the meeting areas promptly at the scheduled start time.
- Please be sure to use the restroom before arriving at the meeting area.
- Please arrive at the meeting area prepared with your equipment, lift ticket or season pass, ready to go 10-15 minutes prior to the program start time.
- Participants must arrive at the meeting area on time with their equipment in proper working order and with their boots on their feet.
- Absence means forfeiting that program day and may mean moving to a different group.
- We do not provide make up sessions for late arrivals.
- We do not transport children to their group if they arrive late.
It is important that a participant attend each day of their program because groups progress together. When a participant misses a session they fall behind the group and may not be able to catch back up, this means that the entire group loses valuable learning time while the participant is reassessed and a determination is made whether or not to move that participant to a different group.
-
Mountain/lift access (season pass or lift ticket) and equipment rentals are not included in the program price and must be purchased separately. Lift tickets, passes, and rentals must be purchased online, we do not sell tickets or passes at the window. Lift ticket inventory is limited and often sells out on weekends. Mountain access in the form of a lift ticket or season pass is required for all participants regardless of age or ability.
It is your responsibility to arrive on-time and prepared with the appropriate season pass or lift ticket. Participants that do not have a season pass or lift ticket will be sent to guest services to get a lift ticket. If such occurs, the student will likely miss their lesson. We do not provide make up sessions for participants who do not have a lift ticket or pass.
-
Program students should be prepared to ride the chairlift with other students, with members of the general public, or alone. Students may not always be able to ride the chairlift with their instructor.
-
Parents are responsible for attending to their children before and after programs as well as picking up their children on time.
Our staff are required to pass a background screening prior to employment and are trained to follow our code of conduct for supervising children. We employ several methods to ensure the supervision of children. These can include but are not limited to: team teaching, POD Systems, physical and visual barriers, check in/check out processes, numbered vests, children's vests, etc.
All students must demonstrate independence, or have an adult partner if not able to be independent. Learn More About Demonstrated Independence
-
Placement and groups are determined by the student's age as of January 1, 2025. When you register for an age-based program, please be sure your child is within the referenced age range by January 1, 2025. We will make every effort to pair students in groups according to the grade in school in order to ensure they have the best possible learning experience.
Students will be assigned to classes according to age, discipline, and ability level as determined by our on-snow staff. We will be determining ability levels at the assessment day.
-
We do not guarantee group sizes or that students will get the same coach each week.
-
All Summit SnowSport School Multi-Week Lesson prices (MWLs) cover coaching only and DO NOT include lift tickets, passes, or equipment unless otherwise specifically stated. All prices, pricing deadlines, discounts, and late fees are subject to change without notice.
We strongly encourage our MWL participants to register early. This helps our team plan and staff appropriately for a great season of lessons.
-
Participants are responsible for their own equipment (skis/boots/poles; snowboard/boots). Participants must arrive at the meeting area on time with their equipment in proper working order and with their boots on their feet. Students must be able to put their equipment on and take it off independently.
Helmets are not required or provided, but are highly encouraged.
-
A participant may submit a change request to switch programs, start times, or days provided there is room in the program into which they would like to move. There will be a $50 administrative fee for each program change. Change requests made after December 15, 2024, will incur an additional $50 rush processing fee. Changes are NOT permitted after the MWL program start date.
To request a change, email snowsports@summiti90.com
Note: We do not allow the transfer of program purchases to another individual.
