NEW FOR 20/21 LESSONS

Multi-Week Lesson Assurance

If for any reason you feel uncomfortable about taking lessons this season after purchasing a 20/21 Mulit-Week Lesson Program, Advanced Program, or Team, you can choose to defer 100% of the value of your registration to the purchase of any single Mult-Week Lesson, Advanced Program, or Team available for the 21/22 winter season. Season deferral requests must be submitted by December 10, 2020.

Student Age

Placement and groups are determined by the student's age as of January 1, 2020. When you register for an age-based program, please be sure your child is within the referenced age range by January 1, 2020. We will make every effort to pair students in groups according to the grade in school in order to ensure they have the best possible learning experience.

Program Pricing

  • All Summit SnowSport School Multi-week Lesson prices (MWLs) are for multiple week coaching only and do not include lift tickets or equipment unless otherwise specifically stated.
  • We strongly encourage our MWL participants to register early. This helps aid our recruitment efforts and planning for staff, etc. In support of this please review our pricing schedule for details on how you can get the best value for your money.
  • We offer an early registration discount of $40 if you purchase your program prior to Memorial Day.
    • After September 15, 2020, prices increase an additional $50.
    • After November 15, 2020, prices increase an additional $50.
    • After December 15, 2020, there is an additional $50 rush processing fee.
  • All prices, pricing deadlines, discounts, and late fees are subject to change without notice.

Payment Plan

  • We reserve the right to move you to a waitlist if your payment plan does not remain in good standing and/or is not paid in full before November 1, 2020. If this happens you may still be able to transfer into a different program.
  • If your payment plan is not paid in full by November 1, 2020, and you do not wish to be placed on a waitlist or transfer to another program you will forfeit your reservation and will not be eligible for a credit/refund.

Arrival Times & Attendance

  • It's your responsibility to arrive on time and prepared. Groups leave the meeting areas promptly at the scheduled start time.
  • Please be sure to use the restroom before arriving at the meeting area.
  • Please arrive at the meeting area prepared with your equipment, lift ticket or season pass, ready to go 10-15 minutes prior to the program start time.
  • Participants must arrive at the meeting area on time with their equipment in proper working order and with their boots on their feet.
  • We do not provide make up sessions for late arrivals.
  • We do not transport children to their group if they arrive late.

Attendance & Lesson Groups

  • Absence means forfeiting that program day and may mean moving to a different group.
  • We do not offer make-ups, refunds, or credits for a participant that is absent.
  • It is important that a participant attend each day of their program because groups progress together. When a participant misses a session they fall behind the group and may not be able to catch back up, this means that the entire group loses valuable learning time while the participant is reassessed and a determination is made whether or not to move that participant to a different group.
  • Students will be assigned to classes according to age, discipline, and ability level as determined by our on-snow staff.
  • We do not guarantee group sizes.
  • We do not guarantee that you will get the same coach each week.
  • The Summit SnowSport School will be organized and ready for operations on the dates, times, and locations listed on the website and in your confirmation letter (see Postponements and cancellations for exceptions).

Supervision of Children

  • Parents are responsible for attending to their children before and after programs as well as collecting their children on time.
  • Our staff are required to pass a background screening prior to employment and are trained to follow our code of conduct for supervising children.
  • We employ several methods to ensure the supervision of children. These can include but are not limited to: Team teaching, POD Systems, physical and visual barriers, check in/check out processes, numbered vests, children's vests, etc.

Lift Access Required

  • Mountain access (season pass or lift ticket) and equipment rentals are sold separately.
  • Mountain access in the form of a lift ticket or season pass is required for all participants regardless of age or ability.
  • It is your responsibility to arrive on-time and prepared with the appropriate season pass or lift ticket.
  • Participants that do not have a season pass or lift ticket will be sent to guest services to get a lift ticket. If such occurs, the student will likely miss their lesson.
  • We do not provide make up sessions for participants who forget their lift ticket/season pass.

Equipment

  • Participants are responsible for their own equipment (skis/boots/poles; snowboard/boots).
  • Participants must arrive at the meeting area on time with their equipment in proper working order and with their boots on their feet.

Transfers

  • Transfers are requests to switch programs, times, or locations.
  • Transfers are not allowed from one student to another.
  • A participant may transfer between programs, start times, or days provided there is room in the program into which they would like to transfer.
  • There will be a $50 administrative fee for each transfer.
  • Transfers made after Dec 15, 2020, will incur an additional $50 rush processing fee.
  • Transfers are NOT permitted after the MWL program start date.
  • We do not allow the transfer of program purchases to another individual.

Postponements & Make-up Days

  • In cases of severe weather, we may need to postpone part or a whole program. When this happens we will make every attempt to offer a make-up day at some point during or following the last scheduled day of the program. Please plan your schedules accordingly.
  • In the event of a prolonged postponement, we will communicate with you via the email address in your profile.
  • If a student does not participate in a scheduled make-up session, there will be no additional make-up days provided.
  • In the event the ski area is closed due to natural disasters, terrorism, war, disease outbreaks, extended road closures, power outages, or severe weather causing part or entire lift and slope closures, the Summit SnowSports School will make up for the lost time at its discretion. Including, but not limited to adding more time during the remaining sessions, adding additional sessions, or adding a make-up day.

Refunds & Credits

  • We do not give credits and/or refunds for participants missing all or part of a MWL program.
  • If Interstate 90 and The Summit at Snoqualmie are open, your lesson will go on. This is a mountain environment with varying weather and road conditions. We are still open when traction tires, chains, and/or all-wheel drive is required. Please plan accordingly by calling 511 from your cell phone or checking our website which has links for roads, weather, and cameras.
  • You are making an investment in your snow sports education and training; the weather is an important factor in this investment. Weather can be unpredictable and uncontrollable. We will make every attempt to maximize our ability to provide you with the snow sports education that you expect; however, The Summit SnowSports School cannot be held liable for acts of nature beyond our control. We do not give credits and/or refunds for programs, or portions of programs, that we are unable to deliver due to weather.
  • We do not give partial credits and/or refunds for missed days and/or times in the event the ski area is closed due to road closures or acts of nature causing part or entire lift and slope closures.
  • If a student does not participate in a scheduled make-up session, there will be no additional make-up days provided.
  • We do not give credits and/or refunds for participants who are waitlisted and/or transferred into another program because their payment plan did not remain in good standing and/or was not paid in full before November 1, 2020.
  • Conditions apply for incidents such as major physical impairment and re-location. Any credit/refund will be pro-rated and issued in the form of a Summit at Snoqualmie gift card.
  • Pro-rated credits are issued as a Summit at Snoqualmie gift card and will be made if any part of the program is canceled permanently by The Summit SnowSports School due to lack of student participants.
  • All credit or refund requests must be made in writing by e-mail to The Summit SnowSports School accompanied by original verification of the purchase and must arrive in our office PRIOR TO THE LAST DAY OF THE PROGRAM. There is a $50.00 non-refundable administrative processing fee for all credit/refund requests.

If a spot in the program you are on the waitlist for becomes available you will be added to the program in the order of your waitlist application.
