Designed just for youngsters, Treasure Trails teaches kids the basics of Nordic skiing in a fun group environment.

  • Saturdays
  • Choose January session or February session, or both
  • Includes daily equipment rental and trail pass
  • For beginners only

Your child will learn to ski in a directed manner in a track, straight-run in the tracks, get up, snowplow, and turn with a snowplow. Lessons take place on the flats and some gentle hills.

What's included

This program includes coaching sessions for the time shown above on the day(s) chosen. It also includes trail access in the form of a trail ticket.

NORDIC TAKE-HOME RENTALS: Are available exclusively for Junior Nordic or Treasure Trails program participants. To purchase inquire at the Nordic Center rental shop this winter.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Important Information

  • If your child is a new skier, you will be required to remain with or near, your child during lessons until they are able to independently get up from a fall without physical assistance from an instructor, as well as take care of nose wipe, clothing adjustments and bathroom breaks. This may require you to stay with or near your child for one or two lessons, or more depending on the child. During the lesson, please encourage your child to engage the lesson and closely follow the instructions given by the instructor.  Parents will not be allowed to wear skis while assisting their children.

    This year groups will be limited to 5 people. This could mean 4 children and 1 instructor, or any combination of parents, children and instructor that totals 5 people.
