Opening Weekend at Summit West
What a weekend! We kicked off the season with five lifts and two magic carpets, which is actually a great start and provided for plenty of fun plus a fair bit of variety. The only low of the day was the visibility, which, to be honest, probably left many wondering which way was down at times.
Then day two arrived... Sunday Funday did not disappoint! It brought the fun in a big way with colder temps, stellar snow conditions for this time of year, and much better visibility. Wildside was left in the fog for a while, but the viz on Pacific Crest held on all day and powder laps through 360 Bowl were on point. The grooming on Sunday improved drastically as well thanks to a fresh 6" of snow. That extra snow over the last 24 hours really helped fill in dips and smooth out the surface, providing for delightful turns. Thanks to all of you for skiing and riding with us this weekend. We are stoked to be open on the first weekend in December, about a week earlier than our average opening day. We love it when mother nature provides for an early opening!

The Summit Team
We also want to thank the entire Summit team for all their hard work opening Summit West. It takes a great team to spool this place up in a short amount of time and we have a crew of amazing people this season. Thanks! If you would like to be part of this amazing and friendly team, we are still hiring.
What's Next?
We hope to open Alpental and Summit Central next weekend. Stay tuned this week for more updates on those two areas. The Tubing Center might not be far behind either! It's still a little early to speculate about Nordic and Summit East, but hopefully mother nature will continue to provide snow for those areas.
