2022-23 Opening Day Announced
LET'S GET THIS SEASON STARTED! Welcome back to another wonderful winter at your home mountain! We plan to open for limited operations at Summit West this Friday, Dec 2nd. As usual, this special day is reserved for Summit passholders and Ikon passholders only. While last weekend’s storm was a bit underwhelming, yesterday's delivered a whopping 18" of fresh! That's more than enough snow to make the call to hit the start button on lifts at Summit West. Our teams are hard at work preparing the mountain and can’t wait to see everyone back on the slopes. Opening Day / Weekend Schedule
Summit West will be open for limited operations 9am-4pm
Watch for updates as we get closer to opening, we plan to open more lifts and terrain if conditions allow. The Summit Terrain Parks crew will have the Boneyard Hike Park at the base of Central Express open 9am-3pm Saturday and Sunday as well. Scroll down for more info about the hike park.

Despite recent storms, snow depth is still low. Please look ahead and watch for both marked and unmarked hazards. Conditions and coverage will be best on the main runs. Ski and ride with care, it's only the first weekend and we all want to enjoy a long and fun season!

Operational Outlook
Lift ticket access will begin Saturday, December 3. After opening weekend the area will close Monday-Tuesday, then we plan to reopen Summit West Wednesday-Sunday next week.
We plan to open more areas, lifts and terrain as soon as snow conditions allow. Opening dates for Summit Central, Silver Fir, and Alpental are still to-be-determined, but hopefully they won't be too far behind Summit West. Summit East and the Nordic Center are schedule to open later in December. Stay tuned for updates as the snow piles up!
Conditions permitting, we plan to open for night skiing December 20.
The Tubing Park is open Friday-Sunday and holidays.
Season Pass Info
Season passes purchased prior to Sep. 20 have been mailed. If you have not received your pass prior to your first day at the mountain, don't worry, simply visit a ticket window or Guest Services for help. If you purchased your pass after Sep. 20, please visit one of our convenient new self-service pickup boxes. You'll find two pickup boxes in the lower plaza at Summit West near the ticket windows. Scan the QR code in your confirmation email to redeem your pass(es). We recommend taking a screenshot of the QR code at home in case cellular service is poor.
Ikon Passholders - Reservations & Direct-to-Lift
Have an Ikon Pass? Visits to The Summit just got a lot easier thanks to our new RFID system. You can simply make a reservation at alterramtnco.com/login and then head straight to the lift with your Ikon pass. You will not need to pick up a lift ticket for your visits this season. At three of our lifts (Armstrong, Holiday, & Silver Fir) you'll be able to leave your pass in your pocket, the RFID gates installed will scan your pass through your outerwear. However, at all other lifts you'll need to show your pass so our scanners can scan the barcode.
Reservations are required for Ikon passholders and we expect peak days to book out, so be sure to plan ahead.

Stan's Cafe will be open daily. Timberwolf Pub and our espresso stand will be open for limited hours this weekend.

Rental Season Pass and Take-Home Rental guests can visit the Summit West rental shop to pickup equipment if needed.
