Proceeds Benefit Local Youth Organizations
Whether providing tools to succeed, bridging the gap to healthy outdoor activities, or developing lifelong skills, these organizations are near and dear to our collective heart because they all put youth first.
Education Foundation for Cle Elum-Roslyn
The Education Foundation for Cle Elum-Roslyn is a charitable non-profit organization dedicated to supporting quality education for students in the Cle-Elum Roslyn School District, where many Summit team members and their families reside. The foundation raises funds to bridge the gap between basic funding provided by the State of Washington and what Cle Elum-Roslyn students truly need to excel academically. support STEM education, classroom technology, fine and preforming arts, and vocational initiatives.
Combines skiing and mentoring to engage young people from diverse backgrounds in a core values-based, leadership development curriculum aimed at building skills for life and bridging opportunities. This year, SOS will bring 100 Seattle youth to The Summit who would otherwise not have the opportunity to ski and ride. SOS strives to create intentional, inclusive spaces on the mountain where everyone is welcome and provides the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive together.
the Service Board
As a youth-led organization, the Service Board (tSB) builds community around the power of youth. For the last 25 years, tSB has developed and implemented culturally relevant programming for high school-aged youth from communities that have been marginalized (BIPoC, LGBTQAI+, low-income, immigrants, refugees, houseless youth, and or those in foster care). tSB provides youth an inclusive space where youth can challenge themselves, find their voices and foster a more equitable future. Year-round programming facilitates equitable access to traditionally inaccessible outdoor activities as a route to social change. Through sports such as snowboarding, tSB is committed to increasing diversity in the outdoors and building confidence in youth.
