Finally! We know many of you have been looking forward to taking some turns at Summit East! Mother Nature blessed the mountain with over 20” of fresh snow in the last 48 hours, providing the much needed boost to base depth and coverage we needed to get that mountain area prepped to start loading chairs.

The Nordic Center will be opening Saturday as well. We expect to have Cold Creek out to the Brooks Warming Hut and the majority of the upper trails out of Grand Junction open this weekend. Mount Catherine Loop will likely be closed due to avalanche hazard. Check the Nordic trail report each morning for the status on trails and grooming.

Sorry, we do not currently have outdoor dining options at Summit East. Please plan to eat at your vehicle or visit one of our other base areas for outdoor dining options, or stop by the Tacos El Guero food truck at Summit West, or the Polish Cuisine On Wheels truck located near the crosswalk in the main Summit Central parking lot. As with all our mountain areas, lodge use will be restricted to restroom and rental pickup only.
