Early Racer Check-In and Pre-Party scheduled for Friday, March 22nd!

Head over to the Washington State Ski and Snowboard Museum (located between The Commonwealth and Dru Bru) from 5pm-6:30pm for early racer check-in. Skip the line Saturday morning and catch a few extra z's to ensure you are well rested by attending. Marcel Dolak will be on site to share a few words about the course build as well.

Following early racer check-in, head over to Silver Fir for the pre-party to kick off PacWest weekend. Live Music from 6-8pm from The Sleepers paired with some demos from your favorite brands is expected to make for a darn good time. For more details, check out the Spring Demo Nights event page.

THE CORE OF PACWEST BANKED SLALOM

Big Banks, Deep Roots

Why the name and spot? Summit East, formerly called PacWest Ski Area, was selected as the location because of its deep history in snowboarding. PacWest Ski Area hosted many classic competitions from the early days of the snowboarding including the Good ‘N’ Fruity Jam, and the Urban Circus Jumpfest among others. Many legendary snowboarders grew up riding here or made turns at this special little mountain, including Craig Kelly, Peter Line, and Jamie Lynn to name a few.

The PacWest Banked Slalom will be hosted by Marcel Dolak, a longtime Summit at Snoqualmie local who first took his turns under Julie’s Chair approximately 32 years ago. He has been a strong competitor in Banked Slalom’s, and he is excited to keep this new event going with The Summit. Marcel’s co-host is Olivia Cayley, who also lives in Hyak. Olivia has a passion for snowboarding and events, and looks forward to the PacWest Banked Slalom being an amazing event for years to come.

We thank all of our sponsors as we couldn’t do this event without their support.
